Her first research was develop together with the Mexican-German Choreographer Yolanda Gutiérrez and 14 dancers from Dar es Salaam for the International Dance Festival Haba na haba. The first approach to the piece THERE IS NO WORD FOR FUTUTRE IN SWAHILI was by using elements of Tanzanian Traditional Dances and the dancers filtered these through their own movement vocabulary. We interrogated ourselves about concepts of what future can mean for each of them. The choreographer brought the music from the German Composer Hauschka and also using some tracks from the Science Fiction Movie GHOST IN THE SHELL. Beside this the Fashion Designer MAKEKE designed afrofuturistic costumes, in order to bring more out the concept of the piece bringing this out as as an exploration about Tanzanian Traditional Dances placed in a modern context connected to each dancers concepts of what future can be. The festival invited her again to develop another piece - now the reserach is based in a body concept imagining how the body will develop "at the end of the times" in a future times. She will give aswell masterclasses to the young generations of dancers in Tanzania.
